pete.i
Looks like a pillard to me. Thats a cross between a mallard and a pidgeon. I'm told that mallards will bonk anything that flies.
Speedwheel
Either a female carolina or a female mandarin (crispy!)
Barry
As soon as I saw it I thought 'female mandarin' I think this confirms it
carlt
Either a female carolina or a female mandarin (crispy!) I was thinking Carolina but the throat markings don't look right. Perhaps a Mandarin with the head feathers Brylcreemed flat. Female ducks with flattened feathers and hidden wing flashes can be very tricky. As soon as I saw it I thought 'female mandarin' I think this confirms it Yes it looks like she's had the hair gel out too.
Jerra
I'm leaning towards female Carolina based on beak shape and eye stripe.

LEO
Hi, A similar one (or possibly this one) has been around the moorings for some years. Used to visit the linear moorings but may have decided to go up market and stay in the marina. Leo.

Thanks to everyone for their replies, After looking at Bazza'a post and the link, I'm going for the Mandarin option. David
