Kiwidad
Just make sure air vent is closed a bit, otherwise your ecofan will end up fried like someone I know!

Regards Pete Its probably the safety regulator cutting in so as to save you from serious burns from the huge blasts of heat pushed along by the fan Tim

alan_fincher
Beware, though, not everything masquerading as a suitable replacement motor actually is. I tried fitting one from a batch that a forum member had, and was good enough to send me one of, and it resulted in far slower rotation to the one I already had, (which was getting a bit noisy, but still working). I put the original one back, and now live with the slight noise! (Yes, I had wired it with the correct polarity, before anybody asks!).
Smudge
When ours starts to slow down we blow the motor clean with a compressed air can, and alls well again

Is your Ecofan the model with the two 'hands' and with numbers 1 to 12 on the front?

carlt
The Ecofan is programmed to run progressively slower, once we get past December 22nd, the days get longer and we move closer to spring, otherwise the far end of the boat gets far too hot.
