Just to wind up those at work, it's a beautiful day, sunny and 18 degrees here in Tamworth. For once I chose the right time to have some days off so out for a chug-about. Not surprisingly seen 4 other boats on the move already. Now where did I put that sun cream...

Got all , yes ALL me hatches and windows open, letting the breeze in and get to any of those spots that normally don't get aired much in winter.

 

 

Whilst obviously noting that no-one at work would be on CWDF in company time mind........

Same here,trouble is it has motivated me to start spring cleaning!

 

22 degrees in windsor,hang the spring cleaning,will dust off the deckchairs!

I'm sitting in shirtsleeves outside on the patio with a coffee, listening to the birds chattering and a bee buzzing.

 

And I'm thinking Why am I not on my boat now? Wish my boat was nearer!

Enjoyed a bike ride down the Coventry Canal earlier, Hopwas to Alvecote Proiry... Lovely day for it, sometimes I really do enjoy working nights!

It was lovely! Still blooming windy here though. Went out with out my fleece on and shivered! Just lit the fire again after only the second time of letting it go out this year.

Been working on a mill roof most of the day just up from Portland Basin on the Ashton. Lovely and warm with a bit of a breeze. Bit of colour back on my bald napper. Not seen a boat move on the canal for months though.

BBC just said hottest place today was Coleshill at 19 deg, about 7 miles from here. So right day off, boat in right location... Must buy a lottery ticket since this is obviously my lucky day!

I had to drive to Foxton today, for work, what a lovely drive....went the back way through the Langtons, and spotted my first daffodil of the year, and lots of snowbells and crocuses.....lovely.

Worked on boat today well for a hour or two.then sat on roof in the sun and finished off two bottles of wine.Ah this is the life.

Went up to Stortford town to the sanitary station and shopping as i do most weeks all the year round come storm or tempest,although the ice beat me for a while a couple of weeks ago,about a mile each way,no other boats on the move though.

Well not all the country has had this weather, here in Skipton it was raining and only 10 deg, yesterday it rained all day so no hose pipe bans likely around here..!!

Must be warming up! already had 3 large wasps flying around inside, don't know if they came in from outside or if they have been squatting rent free for the winter and decided it was warm enough to wake up and move on.
