Brighton and Nuneaton have just delivered to me at Runnymede on Thames .... they're heading downstream to Shepperton now.

We're now back on the Bridgewater Canal after passing along the Manchester Ship Canal into Salford Quays.

 

After reloading over Thursday and Friday with coal, smokeless fuels and diesel, we'll be heading through Stretford and Sale on Friday afternoon/evening, on Saturday we'll be through Dunham, Lymm and Grappenhall and on Sunday we'll be passing through Stockton Heath, Walton, Moore to Preston Brook. Victoria will be heading south on the Shropshire Union this Sunday from Norbury heading to Penkridge. This is my last run in the area before the stoppage at Lock 40 near Teddesley will stop me reaching the area until the 8th December. I have been told that Chris Iddon on "Merchant" is now selling coal, peat and diesel on the North Oxford.

 

Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone know if he covers anywhere other than the North Oxford?

It was foggy this morning when I left Stone, but by the time I reached the top of Meaford the light wind had blown it all away. I reached Stoke nice and early, just as the rain started to fall, and I'm now moored up near the Toby Carvery (and completely full!). I'm heading back to the Stone/Meaford pound tomorrow, so if anyone wants any smokeless coal then give me a shout. Cheers,
