Liam
Occasionally it does but we cruise with it ready to drop down, takes a couple of seconds, wait until bridge is halfway along the boat, drop hood, as soon as we are clear whip it back up. Same with lock bridges. Mooring is no prob just leave it up, we have a centre line each side so they don't interfere with hood, missus gets wet at the front though but she doesn't mind as she gets full sexual satisfaction from me Ah, no, sorry... my daft sense of humour gave me visions of you walking around on a lock side or trying to tie up with you wearing your pram hood

ditchcrawler
A Inverness Raincoat and a wax cotton hat. Firesprite In the wilds of the Fens where fuel is £1.32lt (fixed 60/40) Yes it looks as if I will have to have a day in Peterborough soon.
Richard10002
I work for one of the largest (if not the largest) outdoor companies in Europe, and I wouldn't touch any of it with the proverbial 'barge pole' ! (Edited to add: If I had to buy it that is...) Why not? What's wrong with it, and what are the alternatives?
Minos
Regatta Packaway jacket & trousers. They were left on the boat when I bought it, and were completely waterproof throughout 11 hours of a heavy downpour. Even my supposedly waterproof leather outback hat and £200 North Face waterproof boots were leaking after that. I've not tried the bicycle cape that was also left on the boat. Apparently they work a treat on trads.

I can see the price on pump from my mooring and clearly hear the yell`s of `How much per liter` just after someone`s filled up. gilby
Usually wear army surplus stuff, gortex trousers and jacket. Wind n waterproof, breathable n cheaper than those big named brands. For winter I have bib n brace, heavy jacket by sundridge (fishing tackle company) not cheap but toasty warm and totally waterproof.
Neil2
Another vote here for Paramo gear. It isn't the easiest to find, you may have to go to a specialist outdoor supplier and it certainly isn't cheap but it is the mutts nuts and if you ask any true outdoor enthusiast youwill find this is what they use. The great thing about it is even after the most extreme use it will dry in no time at all. And the after sales service is excellent.
