beerbeerbeerbeerbeer Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 prompted by something BoatingupNorth posted yesterday (maybe he can add them again) always nice to see what’s on the menu elsewhere and whether it’s going to be worth making the journey these two are a good starter, I took them earlier in the month at the Holy Inadequate a short walk from the canal at Etruria. 1

Great pub. Here are the Samuel Oldknow in Marple, the Horse and Jockey in Penkridge, and the Swan in Stone -- bar photos not lists, but you get the idea... 😉 1

Tonka Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 1 Beer properly kept is better than 20 poorly kept

TheBiscuits Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 Ah well, if we want to play this game ... Cherry Tree Cricket Club just off bridge 94 on the L&L (I feel obliged to declare a commercial interest in Red Rose Brewery ... Beer done good, produced by boaters, available in pubs and bars usually quite close to canals in the North West) 3
gatekrash Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 We need to keep this thread running. I haven't got any photos cos Mrs G doesn't drink beer, only proper scrumpy cider so I have no need to photo the drinks board. I can only call out the George and Dragon at Stoke Golding a few weeks back as a permanent beer festival, where the lager drinkers had to ask out the back for a drink. Here's a gratuitous picture of an empty beer glass from the Cape as an attempt to contribute. 2
