I have fully retired... scraping, sanding, painting, painting and painting, oh and getting the hydraulic drive fixed and the mysterious bubbles from underneath... joy. I cant wait to get stuck in.

Hi

The mysterious bubbles, if they are coming up from under a steel narrowboat, are just gas from weed on the base plate, or even fresh water mussels thereon. They are weird at first, but you get used to them. And relax....

Nah. If you have retired to a boat you have just changed one type of work for another, albeit though in much nicer surroundings, but probably  without the temperature controlled environment.

Enjoy.

As in, wondering how on earth you found the time to go to work five days a week?

I still do some part-time work and sometimes I really struggle to fit it in.
