    We like experimenting with bread recipes(well,husband does)but haven't tried a sour dough yet.We're also lucky that there are a fair few small bakeries nearby.We tried a corn & sunflower seed bread this week which was absolutely yummy,fab taste & texture.

    The manager & Carol at Overwater have kept me entertained during the lockdowns with quizzes & Karaokes.They've kept an eye on our boat-especially recently with the changing water levels due to the problems at bridge 80.They've put lecky cards in for us & have basically gone the extra mile to help.

    There are some very nice folk over there who are pretty harmless...myself included.? I like a mooch in both places.

    Walked down to the end of the Ellesmere arm & to the services today which were being used.No sign at all of any barriers.

    We live in Ellesmere & haven't seen or heard about any physical barriers across the canal.

    Posted a canal picture Christmas card today with a bit of a 'chat' about Alvechurch in it.Glad he's enjoying the cards/letters etc.

    Had a chuckle about the timed pumpout machine,we put a kitchen timer on the roof so we know how much time we have left !

    Still moored at Overwater,coming up to two years now.16 years of owning a boat(from new)& our first marina.Couldn't ask for a nicer,better place.We're really happy there & they've been great during lockdowns-keeping an eye on our boat,topping up electrickery etc.Lovely place.

    Am I in the minority of enjoying the Wolvo flight ? We've been up & down sooo many times over the years(we used to moor in Oldbury),so did them many times.Had the early morning lack of water problems, but frequently had CRT help.Really enjoyed these locks due to the changes in scenery.

    We actually really enjoy the 21 which we've done loads of times.There can be a lack of water problem if you set off early up or down.But...CRT are usually about to sort things out.

    Been blowing a hooly here at Audlem. Put the heating on for a hour,then had to turn it off as was then a tad too hot ! Quite a few boats nearby had fires lit.
