Day Two

It will be a long day today.

Here we are waiting for the tide at Torksey. Not leaving here until 12.30.

'Ang on a minute, you're going to Norfolk? Right?

Isn't Torksey sort of the wrong end for that?wacko.png

We have a bigger boat coming with us who can't get through the bridges in Lincoln. So we are going to Norfolk the long way round via Grimsby.

Will make a change. Plus Trent End should be stunning in this weather.

So we didn't make it to Grimsby due to fog! Had to dive into Hull for a safe haven.

Makes it a longer trip tomorrow but never mind.

Day three

What a lovely day for a run down the Norfolk coast. A bit murky to start with on the Humber but that soon cleared.

Although after five and a quarter hours on the plane the fuel gauge read this with seven miles still to travel!

With a final push for Lowestoft we made it straight to the fuel berth to refill the boat and restock.

On the Broads at last. After much faffing around at Mutford Lick we eventually hit the Broads at about dinner time today.

Although we did find the remnants of a crab pot on the props.

No damage done mind so now its a week of river cruising.

It's another stunning day on the Broads. Have just made it over to the North and are now heading for Stalham.

Did manage to get one of these on the way across Breydon!

Have a great time, when Chris Coburn and myself did the Broads in 1997 we managed every one in a 71ft boat!! So you will have no problems. Good adventure cruising.

Now in deep back and beyond

It looks like you have gone past Wayford up to Dilham as Trento suggests.

My favourite bit of the Broads - well jel...

We snook up there in 2009 on Glitter Girl from Summercraft.

We were on Sutton Broad last night. Just moored in Wroxham now doing a spot of shopping.

Just found out that although Nitty Gritty is the same boat as ours their arch must be slightly different as we managed to sneak through Wroxham bridge but they couldn't get through!

Some passers by got some good shots if them hand balling it back out mind.

Headed up to Wroxham today. And are now moored on Salhouse Broad.

Currently enjoying a pint or two in the Fur and Feathers.
