Cygnet Sold

I have sold Cygnet to someone I know will be able to give the boat far better attention than I now would be able to, and in fact has been looking after Cygnet for the past couple of years.  I hope he gets as much pleasure as I did cruising for 15 years over almost all of the waterways.  He intends to live on Cygnet, despite her small size.

So if you see Cygnet, you can now address the owner as James, not Mac!

Sorry to hear you are giving up boating, Mac, but I understand your reasons.

I met you once when you were at Selby river lock. I brought you something but I cannot remember what. Anyway it comes to us all at some point, I gave up boating a couple of years ago mainly because I moved away from the canals. Godd luck where ever your life takes you in the future.

Well I can remember, which is rather reassuring! You took me to get some gas.    That was in 2019, my final big trip on the boat, to York, Ripon and the Pocklington.
