If I were buying a boat I would be asking Vladimir at HMS SURVEYS - Quality marine surveys from qualified marine surveyor to undertake it for me. Great guy and incredibly thorough.

I used Ian Jennings there recently. He seemed decent enough! Certainly helpful and friendly. A bit hard to know how well a surveyor has done their job. He is associated with the marina though, I was considering him before I knew that though. I can send you my survey if you'd like an example of what he produces.

We used Ian Jennings too a couple of years ago. We had a good walkthrough the boat with him afterwards which was very helpful.
