nbfiresprite
The two boats that sunk on the March visiters moorings in the town on Christmas Day. Have since been removed by the Middle Level and relocated to their yard. Once the Middle Level costs and outstanding unpaid licences been paid, the owners can have them back. The owners are howling 'Humans Right's ' claiming the Middle Level have nicked their boats and made them homeless, Edited January 5, 2021 by nbfiresprite 1

There are specific provisions for dealing with sunken boats that need salvage and, in any case, the boaters could hardly claim that they were living there, unless they are submariners! It's not unusual with these sort of people who are NBTA members. They do their sob story to the press and pass round the begging bowl. They claim they will refloat it themselves and liveaboard once refloated doing repairs. The last time this happen was in 2015 when the Cicely Mary was burnt out and sunk on Kings Dyke. The fire was suspect, as the engine, stove, oven, hob and water heater had been removed before hand. The hull was itself was in poor repair and had to be replated by the new owner. Sob story in the Cambs Times
nbfiresprite
Another one has sunk, Just east of Nutters' Moorings on the Old Nene downstream of March. Karma in this case, the owner is the one who attacked the lock keeper at Marmont Priory lock a few months back.
