  3. Moored in Middlewich by the locks a few times- never any problems.A pleasant stay each time.

  12. I also noticed that the steerer(Guy ?) went through the left hand side of the bridge hole.I'm often in Brum & would not be best pleased to meet him head on...

  21. I would not mind Sam West helping me through a few locks ! At 8 yrs younger than I am,he could be my canal toy boy... Ps It's a brill programme as you can feel their love of canals shine through.Love it.

I love really early starts in the summer months-nothing to compare with being in the 1st lock by 6 am.It doesn't bother us If someone sets off early if it's a day when we're not moving-we just have a nose to see who it is.Boating is all about chilling & enjoying.We do try to be as quiet as poss when making an early start but other early starters have never caused us hassle. Trina
