  1. It thought it caused ADHD or was it LVHD? 😂
  2. Yes we have one and found the same. It gets clothes as clean or cleaner and dryer than the automatic washing machine and does so in a fraction of the time, typically 15 minutes. The downside is that you have to do the bits the automatic does, filling, emptying and transferring clothes from one tub to the other.

  4. When we got a share in our first share boat in 1992 several co-owners wanted to use Ecover products. However one co-owner was an industrial scientist who showed us that the ingredients Ecover claimed not to use were not present in the mainstream brands because they had been prohibited in the 1970's. His (and my) conclusion was that that many of the eco products were just "marketing bolleaux".
  5. It is possible the data came from River Canal Rescue. They hold data on boats, including insurance as many boating insurance companies now include basic RCR membership with their policies.

  8. Regarding your second point, the very first question asks if you volunteer, donate or support CRT, which is what the "Friends" campaign set out to do.
  9. I found it most flowery words, or the better parts were too long to be successful slogans. What we really need is another Robert Aickman (founder of the IWA), a man with influential connections and drive to campaign to encourage the government to increase their part of CRT funding. No it isn't Remind me just how long the CRT "Friends" campaign has been running and how well it has done. This is another attempt to reboot it and is likely to achieve a similar level of success.
  10. Time will tell if this is effective or not. I suspect not because it is very difficult to persuade people to pay for something that they have enjoyed for free for decades.

  14. I've just received a questionnaire from CRT asking me which silly and pointless slogans I prefer and why? What a waste of my time and their time and money.
