  1. That would do nicely for my planned upgrade to my LiFePO4 battery bank ; )
  2. You don't stop boating when you get old. You get old when you stop boating.
  3. Mods- How about automatically preventing more than say 6 replies to a thread for every post by the original poster? If OP doesn't come back, thread is closed.
  4. If you read the CRT article you will notice that it is intended for boaters with restricted mobility at accessible moorings. If you are concerned about the design there is nothing to stop you using a lighterman's hitch round the base.
  5. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.
  6. Oh dear, more unfriendly off topic posts.
  7. How far off topic can you get? Come on, children, stop squabbling.
  8. We used to use burning newspaper to start tractors on a frosty morning. Worked a treat
  9. Which way up is an upside down half coconut? Top half or bottom half? I couldn't quite work it out in my head. Maybe it's the wine. Cheese!
  10. Yes, looks like you set a precedent. At the time I had and still have a current BSS. I think my installation will be compliant at renewal. Fingers crossed.
  11. I just declared my self converted boat as electric, no questions asked. I think the only requirement is that the prop is driven by an electric motor not diesel.
  12. The 69A current you are seeing is fine. It will be going to the theater not the battery. A VSR in place of the split charge diode would give you a better charging Voltage. Otherwise I think you're OK. 15 seconds is quite a long burst of power for a bow thrusters.
  13. Not seized, that would cause excess current draw by the starter motor. It's only about 300A so not seized and not a Volts drop fault in the wiring either, the Volts drop is In the battery.
