Tony Brooks
Not enough images, but my guess would be an SL2 or SR2. Being an industrial engine, the seed governor may well need modifying for multi-speed use. It is probably set to run at one speed. Then there is the question of fitting a marine gearbox, could be expensive.
BEngo
Probably an SR2 or an SL2 There will be a plate on the side which tells you. Only of use in a boat forà driving fixed speed loads, unless heavily modified and a gearbox and variable speed installed. As it is, without evidence that it even runs, it is probably worth scrap value. In running order 50 squids tops. Less if it is an SL2 NÀ
magnetman
SR, SL or LR. Interesting engines but as Tony B says governor will be a problem. I bet the tank is rusty inside.
Steve56
Looks like either an SR or LR engine. It's variable speed and is running in an anti clockwise rotation..

It is also hand start, which makes it a challenge for use in a boat

john.k
Little Listers need the drive end housing to be useful in a boat ........a motor from a dumper should be bought complete with the gearbox preferably ......which will guarantee a round housing to bolt to a marine box ........any Lister thats belt drive is near useless in a boat.

The flywheel housing will be the same regardless of what the engine is being used for.
Jim Cameron
Good little 2cyl engine unless your going to cut wood I would leave it alone or if your looking for a project and put it in a Boat you need a Gearbox to go with it could be expensive but if you shop around I'm sure you'll find one and expect about 7knots depending what it's. Pushing Good luck 👍
john.k
The little Listers were gold once.....used to buy the dumpys from the State Works Dept auctions for $400 ,and sell the Lister for $1500............the good old days.
