David Mack
That doesn't match any of the usual Lister serial number formats. https://realdiesels.co.uk/identitydata.html Is this a petrol or diesel engine? How many cylinders? Post a couple of photographs and someone may be able to identify the engine.

Tracy D'arth
A Picture? Or is this a bot? Based on the provided serial number "201-25350," it is not possible to determine the exact model of the lister. Serial numbers alone do not typically provide information about the specific model or make of a product. To identify the model, additional information such as the brand, manufacturer, or any distinguishing features would be required. However, it is worth noting that without further context or clarification about what type of product the lister is, it becomes even more challenging to determine its model. The term "lister" can refer to various items, including but not limited to: 1. Lister Engine: A lister engine is a type of internal combustion engine commonly used in agricultural machinery, generators, and water pumps. These engines are known for their reliability and durability. To identify the model of a lister engine, it is necessary to consult the manufacturer's documentation or contact a knowledgeable expert in lister engines. 2. Lister Petter: Lister Petter is a well-known British company that specializes in manufacturing diesel engines for various applications. They produce engines for industrial, agricultural, and marine use. To determine the model of a Lister Petter engine, it is advisable to refer to their official website or contact their customer support. 3. Listerine: Listerine is a popular brand of mouthwash and oral hygiene products. However, it is unlikely that the provided serial number relates to a Listerine product since mouthwash bottles typically do not have serial numbers for identification purposes. To accurately identify the model of the lister in question, it is recommended to provide more specific details or consult relevant documentation from the manufacturer. I hadn't considered that the OP might have a 2 cylinder bottle of mouthwash!

This is surely a part no. (like this: "Side Cover Gasket fitted to Lister ST1 Diesel Engines - 201 55350") - did you read this number off the rocker cover, or side plate casting or some similar external part??? As others have said, that's not a serial number. Engines usually have a data plate on them somewhere, which will tell you the serial number and usually the model too. alan_fincher
Despite one of the previous answers, if it really is a Lister, and you have the correct serial number, this can often be interpreted down to an actual model number. However the number you have quoted is NOT a Lister engine serial number. As suggested it may be the individual part number for the bi of the engine on which it appears. Post a picture of the engine, and, if present, the plate on the engine carrying the details.

Steve56
The number you have shown is a Lister part number. So my guess is that it will be the part number of the item it was stamped on, possibly crankcase.
