Time, I think, to say goodbye to this thread, as it has descended into inexplicable personal animosity towards the O.P. It is pleasing to see that a vast majority of members who voted approve of the "Picture Thread".

   Time, too, to give a word of thanks to the people who have posted their photographs, with special mention to the indefatigable Peter Scott.

Alternatively, since the title is "The picture thread", we could post pictures here, instead of boring personal animosity.

An ice cream boat in Skipton in the summer of 2012.  Repurposed pusher tug. Yes, I did buy an icecream from here.

An icecream boat not far from Gas Street Basin in Birmingham in 2012. They did a very nice strawberry flavour cone with a flake. With the full English breakfasts, there is no need to go anywhere else. A complete balanced diet.

Now gone and replaced with electric Go Boats.

A better idea @Jen-in-Wellies would be a monthly photo competition thread. You can only submit one photo, all photos which are submitted will be voted on, with one monthly winner. The twelve monthly winners will go forward to be voted on for a yearly winner.

  All photos must be canal related. The 12 monthly winning photos could go into a Callander with proceeds supporting the Forum and a yearly selected charity.

  Something for the Moderators to think over👍

Why don't you start a thread suggesting it, there's a good chance a fair few members have stopped looking at this thread because of the bickering
