jaywalker
About a year ago my exhaust leaked and soot got into my wardrobe ruining most of my clothes causing about £5 worth of damage. My exhaust pipe is tightly clipped and obviously there is movement on the engine, the original pipe allows very limited movement I am thinking of replacing it with a more flexible pipe. Does anyone know what temperature these flexis allow or can anyone advise on a better way of solving this problem.
Tracy D'arth
Definitely need a flexy, they are designed for exhausts.
blackrose
I don't have a flexible section on my exhaust pipe. I do wonder how it copes with the vibration and movement but it seems to have been ok so far.

This would seem about par for the course, given the way most boaters dress which would make a scarecrow look smart and stylish.
roland elsdon
£5 wardrobe , Reminds me of stopping at stone with oil ruined jeans. No clothes shops. 2 charity shop visits and three pairs of jeans. One with tags still in, for £5. That was in 2017. Mrs S was suggesting patching one of the pairs last week. Disposable fashion victims we are not.
