Stockton-on-Tees. River Tees.

Now you are in my neck of the woods!

Just further down river. The barage that maintains the water level at Stockton, and supplies the international canoe course.

This day in 2013, Yangzhou, China. The first photo is of restaurant/trip boats, the second is a flood lock between the various waterways in the city, the third is coal being delivered to a local power station, and finally, do we need these lads to clear weed on our canals?

Gin clear skies yesterday for a walk along the Manchester, Bolton & Bury canal at Nob End.

Here the canal crosses a river on a aqueduct, takes a right angle turn up Nob End locks, the the junction at the top. The Meccano bridge is a triumph.

The boat in the drydock in the 1972 picture is very distinctive. L1575_20091001_0023s.jpg.5fe601573c193cee76b154b3d1f7442a.jpg

It was Forget-me-not on dock at Dutton. Peter Froud had not converted Taurus at the time.
