Rivetted boats in general

Featured Posts

I saw this craft on the Shropshire Union moored in front of the Midland & Coast CC TAURUS, but am unsure of the type or identification.

Second boat.

I think it is an ex Thames Conservancy vessel. Rather a nice boat recently for sale.

Indeed so.

In fact Ray has take the pictures from a thread he started where it was identified as such.

Built by Uxbridge Steel Barrel Company in 1912 (it says!).

These look like riveted boats to me.  :D

Got my coat and to quote a very brave man "I am just going outside, I may be some time."

Airfix kits?

To quote: -

". . . and the usual myriad of rivets."

The Hudson boats are spoilt by the mis-match of shear from the hull sides to the fore-deck. It does indeed look like a kit that has been made up of dissimilar parts. Less graceful, more awkward. A sort of Michael Jackson nose job.
