I enjoyed the show this year. Lovely to see the crowds there. I did however notice a few stands missing from last year, e.g, the model boat one, unless I missed it, and fewer canal society stands. As ever It was lovely to chat to Chris-B ( http://www.marineengine.co.uk ) on his Lister stand. I do love his outlook on life.

Battlefield mooring saga here: http://www.canalworld.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=45358&st=0&p=839833&hl=+battlefield%20+moorings&fromsearch=1entry839833 When we went up there September last year the "No mooring" signs had been removed (by boaters?) and people were mooring on that site. There is mooring available a little further up and on the designated towpath side, which was never used previously, so in reality no moorings have been lost here. The "No mooring" outside the flats is on a bend before Trinity Marina and personally I would not want to moor there anyway, but it is giving in to the NIMBY's.

A hypothesis: Could a faulty / leaking diesel central heating exhaust result in similar issues? Our diesel heater is in the engine bay with exhaust gasses venting through a OEM pipe via a silencer. The exhaust is fitted with OEM screw clamps. In theory these should be checked regularly to make sure they haven't worked lose.

What a fantastic difference Chuggy has made to this boat since we hired her in 2009. Looking at your pictures I can hardly believe it is the same boat. Well done Chuggy, I hope all your efforts are duly rewarded.

Managed to do this with the Eberspacher body. Lots of pretty sparks then a bit later a £230 bill for a new electronics module.
