  8. Thats paid winter moorings only . The relaxation does not end until 31 March "During the winter period (1 November – 31 March) most short-stay moorings will relax to 14 day maximum stay unless there is a clear safety or customer need to provide otherwise. If the short-stay mooring is in place all year then it will be clearly signed. If it is not indicated on site then the mooring is 14 days by default during the winter"
  9. We spoke to Mr Wardle when we came through the lock earlier this month. He said they were hoping to be in proper by June.

  14. Further towards Keadby there were ferries at Owston Ferry, West Butterwick and Althorpe. At low tide you can still remains of wharves and jetties there. At Owston Ferry there was an annual Regatta which was still in existence up into tne 1930s. A steam packet boat ran from Gainsborough up to Burton and Barrow. If you ever get the chance to visit the old smithy at Owston Ferry theres lots of information about sailing and trade on the river there.
  15. We've overwintered twice in Crick. Its fine except for the black hole which is phone and internet reception and depending on where they put you tv reception. For the most part they leave you alone which suited us. Pretty central to get to most places. Only other thing i would say is they meter the electricity and prefer you to buy your own cable with a meter on now. So if you decide to go there do ask them about that.
