I was considering alpacas, they can keep the grass down on the towpath by the boat, tow it if the engine fails and spit at cyclist passing by too fast.
Also get a free jumper every year
The Thames doesn't have a towpath, there are places to more free but mostly for limited time almost everywhere else someone will arrive in double quick time to charge you for mooring :-(
And this was my main objection to the TV programs presented by Timothy West, calling boating a contact sport was in my view unhelpful, and it wasn't just once but appeared to be a feature of each of the programs.
Maybe they will alter the other side to match then it will be uniform width throughout - - - - - - - Hhhhm then we all have to make our boats banana shape
I wonder about potential insurance issues, since the team of, "Say pen pushers is now being paid by the company on company time to do strenuous activities in potentially more hazardous environment" doesn't that mean that the companies insurance risk has changed? I would think that in the event of an accident the initial claim by the injured party would be on the company insurance.
Thank you for the offer but I have a figurine appropriate to the proposed name of the boat so I will probably carry on and do it myself, I have access to a machine shop so it wont be a problem. :-)
Are the pin parts of the tiller pin a standard size I'm making one for my boat (which I don't have yet but has been ordered), from photos they look to be about 6mm dia by about 100mm long then the figurine on top.
Did you see the canopies on the Dudley Trust boat down by the marina at Crick? They had a light aluminium tube frame in two parts covered with a material and plastic canopy, looked the business.
