  1. I thought that their fit outs were sought after. Even if they did have the same bits on them. Their was an article in Waterways World about their fit out of Roger Fuller's Turn of the Wold
  2. They also built standard looking boats as well as their very low freeboard type. Remember looking at a new one at the 1986 Brentford Iwa Festival. Was very nice actually but out of our price range
  3. problem is the council has to meet its target as given by the government to get its money from the government. More houses also equals mor poll tax. But if it is arable land we should be using it to give us a chance whilst Ukraine farms are not producing
  4. I have had the wrong paint sent to me by them. Undercoat instead of topcoat. They corrected it by sending the topcoat and let me keep the undercoat. Good service
  5. Is that spot where you moor by the table and seats to walk up to the Dog and Hedgehog at Dadlington. You can also walk up to the pub at Stoke Golding
  6. When my engine room filled with water from the water pump, it threw me a bit as the pump was not running. The leak was the pump had split. Just saying
  7. Stops the southerners getting to you.
  8. Not until next week when I shall be at the boat

  12. But you have got rid of the Beta Tug Engine
  13. I understand the need for a Bss . I would not want a load of boats moored up next to each over which did not have a bss.
  14. @dmr has Lurchers and a trad. I have seen dog beds on the boatmans hatch
  15. Also forgot to mention that the steel can get very hot in the summer. Also consider the lead, I have seen people trip over a lead.
  16. If your not over the canal bed then I thought you did not need a licence but BW and Crt realised they would lose out on a lot of money so changed the rules
  17. Depends on breed of dog. Also depends on build of boat. Some traditional decks are bigger then others. Also are you thinking of a trad with a boatman's cabin or an engine under the floor (it affects the access) from the cabin to the deck. Will you have seats welded on the back deck. Our old boxer hated it and our current boxer loves it.
  18. That is why CAMRA are promoting https://camra.org.uk/pubs-and-clubs/current-campaigns/summer-of-pub/ this year
  19. What about the Manor Arms, Off Daw End Lane, Rushall About the Pub A canal-side pub rumoured to originally have been built around 1105 and to have held a licence to serve ale since 1248 which would make it one of the oldest pubs in the country, although the current building is largely 18th century. Traditionally styled, it still retains features like the exposed beams and there is an open fire in the bar. The beer pulls come straight out of the wall resulting in the pub being known locally as 'the pub with no bar'. It has a historic pub interior of national importance. Popular with walkers, cyclists and dog owners. Situated next to a country park and nature reserve. Although a little off the beaten track, the pub is well worth a visit. Historic Interest Thought to be one of the oldest pubs in the country. Has no bar!
  20. Don't think Doom bar on keg is brewed in Cornwall any more.
