The developers behind the forum software we use have released a software patch which needs to be applied as soon as possible. As such we will be taking the site offline for a short period later this evening to apply the patch. The work will commence after 23:00 and is expected to take around 20 minutes but may extend up to one hour.

Thanks

Thanks for the warning. Of course, all decent CWFers will be tucked up in bed by 11 p.m.

Or still in the pub.

and while we're enjoying ourselves in the pub, or tucked up in bed, Rich I expect will be at his computer upgrading this site, just to minimise any disruption to us.

Thank you Rich!?

Absolutely.

Mind you, it's his own fault: he's the only one who knows where to kick the equipment.

?

It's not just having to kick the equipment, if he 'kicks' it in the wrong place there could be a disaster..... what a responsibility!  ? These IT bods carry a lot of stress.

Got a friend whose son works in the IT of a bank, when a problem happens, he's offered help for the stress. Cos we can't see what's going on in the background, we don't spare a thought for the person who's got responsibility for the 'gubbin's!
