Since when? Past here many times, even been in shopping and never seen this. I think the last time was September last year.

Why  not just use the washing machine and tumble dryer on the boat whilst cruising with the Travel power on?

Yes quite !! There are several of those washing machine places springing up especialy at Petrol stations at present. This is after a steep decline in such facilities over the past thirty years. It would be good is someone on the forum who knows about how things work could open a thread of lists of laundrettes that others could update as and when?

A good starting point is the Aylesbury Canal Society's Laundry list which I believe is now sold by the IWA on-line shop. Boaters are encouraged to update the list via the ACS and the addition of the garage locations would be a great boon. Nicholson also list laundrettes but with regular closures/additions the details are not always up to date.

We do all our washing on board but perhaps you missed the dry cleaning option in the haste to respond?

There are the same washers at beeston lock on the trent. Never used them but take my mother there ( to the cafe not the washing machines sometimes)

There is another at the Morrison’s at Blackburn. Called 24 Laundromat they have a website, but Blackburn is the only listed location. Maybe this will roll out to every Morrison’s?
