Good, they did well then considering it appeared as if they had little information with which to trace the owner.

It begs the question that had the owner not been located, would Crt have done anything to stop it sinking. Personally I think they may have. Ian Darby seemed quite concerned about it sinking and polluting the canal.

Just an update, the boat is still where it was left 3 months ago, tied to the bank.

Given the apparent lack of a licence and no mooring, CRT seem to be very generous in allowing it to be left for so long?

We have one of those here at Bedwyn. Been moored just about church lock since last October. Never touched or moved. Yet if I stay 15 days somewhere CRT are straight on my case with the emails!

Here is what CRT have to go through at times to remove boats, it looks to have taken about 2 years  https://www.rugbyadvertiser.co.uk/news/two-jailed-after-threatening-to-stab-and-set-fire-to-police-during-brownsover-boat-siege-1-8493361

that was the same group who assaulted the Lockie at Hillmorton.

the towpath telegraph works well.

I wonder if that's the same ursa major that occupied a prime spot on the k&a for four years.
