Boat&Bikes
Anyone here know if it's likely we can arrive at Wargrave on the Thames early tomorrow afternoon and have a fair chance of finding an overnight mooring? Thanks Ian.
blackrose
There are visitor moorings at Wargrave. I was there for a week in summer 12 years ago and I was the only boat, but of course times have changed...
Timx
Damn does it get that busy, I am going other way and hoping the same question at Marlowe

OldGoat
If you're prepared to rough it a bit and the moorings are full, it is possible to moor 'in the trees' and a couple of places further downstream on the same side.
Scholar Gypsy
The river didn't seem that busy today. As noted above there are quite a few places where you can moor below Wargrave lock https://nbsg.wordpress.com/2017/06/29/day-trip-to-henley/

Yes sorry I always get muddled there, as the lock is closer to Wargrave than to Shiplake. I had a very nasty experience in Wargrave aged 2, spending a day with a childminder who had a very loud cuckoo clock, while my parents moved house. Drayke
The only moorings I can think of are above Shiplake Lock and you have to pay the lockkeeper for them. Unless you are talking about the moorings below Henley Sailing Club on the bend, it just depends how busy it is, not forget Henley Regatta is on around this time. Tony Brooks
The EA public moorings on the Wargrave bank but below the village and almost on the big bend by Shiplake have a footpath that eventually gets you to Wargrave.
Paringa
The moorings are approx midway between Marsh lock just above Henley and Shiplake Lock... I was there about a week ago and plenty of room. It is Henley weekend now so it might be busy. As OG says there are moorings in the trees past the main moorings heading downstream which I prefer, but be prepared for a few drunken launches going past! Marlow was busy, but then suddenly it all went quiet....might have been the rain.
Boredrider
Currently moored below the lock at Marlow. We are the only boat here at the moment, though the moorings were completely full at noon.
