valrene9600
Having upgraded from the stone age I have this 100% working 15 inch TV. 12volt or mains. 3.1 amp 38w Remote included. Shame to just dump it even though 11 years old it works perfectly. At present located at cow roast with no plan to move owing to serious health issues so you need to arrange collection. As this is not for sale or wanted I assume mod approval is not needed. Edited September 24, 2016 by valrene9600
valrene9600
Just bumping this as I don't want it slipping down the pages out of sight. It will end up in the bin over next few days. Not the giveaway of the century but someone might be pleased to have it as a starter. Nightwatch
We had an identical telly. Now in use in nieces daughters bedroom. It's that old I was surprised it wasn't gas powered. They are super tellys.

alan_fincher
Les,Just checking in view of the stated age.Does this TV have a digital tuner, or is it analogue only, so it needs a Freeview or Freesat box to make it usable in the absence of analogue services? Thanks. MtB
Forgive my ignorance, but if it works perfectly why did it need 'upgrading'?
nbfiresprite
Forgive my ignorance, but if it works perfectly why did it need 'upgrading'? Maybe they wish to watch HD channels, LCD models do seem to last longer than CRT's. I'm still using the same LCD monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 570V TFT) that I brought in 1999. Yes it needs a free view box.I have ended up with two basic free view boxes and the right person might be able to squeeze one from me. Just trying to help someone less fortunate and perhaps stop some of the terrific waste in this world. valrene9600
Forgive my ignorance, but if it works perfectly why did it need 'upgrading'?15 inch up to 24 is quite a luxury.HD picture is brill. Sound much improved. Has DVD, free view, netflicks, I player and internet all built in. Lots of HDMI, USB, etc sockets. So well worth an upgrade. There are other personal reasons for the upgrade but those mentioned are enough to answer you Mike. Freegle? ?? Explain

alan_fincher
Yes it needs a free view box. Thanks for clarifying that, Les. We rarely take a TV on board, but the one we have is also analog, which is why I thought I would check.

rusty69
No - Berkhamsted or Tring, (Cow Roast sits between the two). They sound closer. I should have known where Cowroast is, as that is where we purchased our boat

WotEver
I didn't know Freegle. Looking at it the nearest to me is a few miles away plus it's much quieter than Freecycle.
