pearley
From my memory, the only mooring longer than 50/55 feet is the one in the corner by the steps.

David Mack
When Fulbourne (70 ft) visited Salthouse Dock we just overhung the end of the pontoon, as did all the other longer boats. But it is helpful if you have somewhere other than the bow and stern to attach your mooring rope to.
dmr
S1 to S9 will all take a 70 foot boat but at 70 the back will overhang the pontoon quite a bit. We use the centreline rather than the back line at the outer end. At 62 you should be able to use the front and back mooring ropes but probably wont be able to get off at the outer end. The pontoons down the longer side of the basin (S11 upwards) are quite a bit shorter and CaRT don't usually use these for longer boats, though we have used them and again it works quite well with the centreline. ..................Dave

Peter-Bullfinch
We have moored there three times now and reversed in each time. Our 57 foot boat needed a rear line, a centre line plus a short rope at the front fender point. I would think that S12 pontoon is roughly 53 foot long for example. To be honest we found no problem. pearley
Whatever time you arrive and whatever pontoon you moor on, you can guarantee it will be windy.
The Bearwood Boster
And it has to be verrrry windy when the sun is shining...so folks are sat outside their boats as you head towards them !?? Trina
