Has anyone got any photographs of Monarch at work in the mid to late fifties ?

I did not realise that Viv had sold MONARCH 156 and I was thinking that VULCAN 183 was the only F.M.C. Ltd. steamer that ties in Braunston Marina.

Monarch is moored in Braunston marina down the far end, or is was a few weeks back when I was there.

Monarch is owned by Sam and her partner, He works for Braunston Marina as does Julian (owner of Vulcan) both boats normally moored at Braunston although Monarch is at Alvecote this weekend

Admittedly Vulcan is the more obvious FMC boat at Braunston and you wouldn't see Monarch unless you knew where to look

Is this the same boat that was used by a church youth club in the early seventies. If so I remember her moored at Runcorn with an uninspiring conversion,Morris Naigator and a big dent in her side,

I think Monarch used to be owned by Roger Murray and she was in steam then but don't know if he had her as long ago as the 50s.

Andy and Lynette Millward owned Monarch in the mid seventies. In fact I was involved prising the conversion off at Worsley.

The Gardner they fitted 2L2 came out of the wooden NCB tug Fred.
