If you find a left hand one half way up Hatton it's ours! (and a coolie hat of the chimney round Cropredy)

 

 

Beauty of steel winlasses is they can be repaired. One of ours broke at the weld about 2 years ago. Just north of Kidlington we came across someone welding their boat. Got it welded in exchange for a couple of cans of beer - can't do a deal like that with Aluminium!

I fix a steel windlass, to my bronze one, using jubilee clips, so I can fish it out with a magnet.

Even higher? I thought £46 for a work of art in bronze was CHEAP!

 

Seriously though, a carbon fibre one would float too, and probably look a whole lot more elegant than the ghastly and clumsily-named 'FloatLass'...
