Even proper narrow boats have strings. Tiller strings frinstance.

Hilarious, I recognize so many of them. Here's couple of mine

 

Your ability to navigate a lock is inversely proportional to the number of spectators.

 

If you only meet one oncoming boat all day it will be at a blind bridge.

I've only ever been on hire boats up to now, but yes already have this one under my belt

You need to add.

 

The archers will take over when you tie up and eat and sleep. But you wont know its happened till you talk to someone on the land.

Great to see this post resurrected after so long. I read it years ago, probably my favourite CWDF post.

 

I wonder where Coastie is these days?

 

I bet Mike could enlighten us if it's not secret squirrel.
