The Globe Inn Snarestone

The previously excellent Globe Inn at Snarestone has closed.

 

 

The pub company running it is looking for a new landlord.

That’s a shame, we have enjoyed plenty of Sunday Lunches, and Steak and Ale pies there over the years.

Likewise. It a couple of days boating or a 10 minute car journey from where I live.

While I was moored at Alvecote we had two trips to Snarestone. Each took us about ten days (each way) - I'm not one to rush!

Last time we went in it was not great. Middling food and very slow service. Hope they find someone more enthusiastic to run it.

It's a shame that it's owned by Stonegate. They've got a poor reputation (at least in Warwickshire). One of their pubs near me has a change of landlord frequently every few months as the landlords can't make it pay because the rent is too high.

I was proper upset with Lime Kilns last summer. 
Changed hands and it’s shyte. 
 

If it weren’t for the good pub in Stoke Golding and that lovely beer I doubt I’d go up the Ashby again.

That's bad news. Enjoyrd my last visit to the Limekilns but it was two years ago
