Pump out toilet

Featured Posts

Hi the boat we have has a compost toilet looking to get a pump out, It did have one originally but it was taken out. I don’t know anything about them so looking for advice on installing one, checked the internet but still none the wiser.

Leesan have all the answers. We have a vacuum system been brilliant for the past 20 years. Bought a service kit last year when passing Fenny Compton but it doesn't really need servicing yet.

Hi no it isn’t.

Is the space where the tank was still vacant or has that part of the boat been modified? Without space for a pump out tank it might be difficult to install a pump out loo. You don't want a small tank or you will spend a fortune getting it emptied

Hi only got the boat two days ago so not sure yet but we are thinking of getting a cassette toilet as it might be easier.
thanks.

A wise choice.

Get at least one spare cassette, cheapest way used to be buying a "freshen up kit" which contains a spare loo seat as well which invariably won't fit your loo :D you can then either eBay these or give them away.

Your best to have one for emergencies anyway,  emptying is not usually too bad, though Elsans do vary.
