its not marked on my maps as a pub by I’m certain it still exists,

Was a question on the BCN challenge a few years ago.

Interesting, I can’t find it marked on any digital maps,

but it’s very definitely a pub, that building I marked,

 

it’s worth noting there's a pub there because it’s a great reward to sneak a pint in after doing the Walsall flight,

ok if I were to make one offering regards museums worthy of marking up on a map I’d say the flint and bone mill at Etruria,

the original mill stones for crushing and grinding bone to add to clay,

I think its elephant bone they got hanging on the wall

If you visit Prickwillow Museum you can pop round the corner and get a pint at the Hiam Social club, provided you can find a member to sign you in.

RSPB Middleton Lakes is on the Birmingham and Fazeley canal, and Middleton Hall and gardens is nearby. Nice for a walk.

Turned left instead of right just after getting on the Wey and ended up in what was basically a large creek. That was fun.
