Very nice ( and a helicoptor ).

I am still waiting to see a Bukh tractor as I have a 2G105 in my boat, same as in tractor.

A bolinder powered helicoptor would be something to experience. Drops twenty feet every time it misses a beat. 😀

That's what autorotation is for. It's the perfect combo!

It is very unlikely that a boaty person would have a starting handle for the engine in your tractor, lovely as it is.

I have seen a couple of Bolinders  W3 in boats.  I think John Knill had one in Columba at one time too.  No 8dea if the starting arrangement was the same as the tractor.

Do you know if the w3 starting handle is anything like the 105x or 111x  ones?  If so PM me and I will give you a couple of contacts.

Make a starting handle ...its not difficult to weld one up from pipe .............Its more than likely ,if you did find the correct handle ,an ebay trader would want 500 quid for it................same as they want 200 quid for Lister and Petter handles.

To my limited knowledge the bolinders in narrowboats were kick start via a pin in the flywheel.

Stand correction though.

Stills from "Painted Boats."

Its not that 7 litre single pot Bolinder! Its a wee multi-cylinder I reckon.
