Propeller refurbishment

Now that Crowthers no longer exist who would you take a prop to for refurbishment, check blade alignment, take out 20 years if dings etc. etc and any idea of turn round times. ie is it possible to tie it all in with a week in dry dock.

Ta. Best bit it turns out I know someone who has had their prop sorted there who moor near us.

AE Woodward's of Hull re-pitched our 27" prop while we had a walk around the shops. Dropped it off first thing, ready for collection at noon. Back on the boat same day.

We used Steel Developments at Morton for our prop work, but probably too far away for your needs.

It looks like Clements will be the best bet for me, Michigan was another I have had recommended now too decide where to get it pulled off, top of the list so far is Streethay  with a pull up the slipway.

Castle Marine and T. Norris Marine spring to mind too.  Depends a lot on where you are.

Clements is definitely the most convenient location just off the A14.

I am looking to do the same thing next year looks like Clemments might be the choice for me as they are local to the boat.

Clements was who Crowthers recommended to their customers. I’ve heard good things about them from a friend who used them.
