If its been raining it can "pull" quick as you get towords the bridge,If your not sure stop at the CRT water point and drop your wheel house.Been through with our two breested up and not had to duck on the back, but think you sould still go and have a look.
Came up the flight today. The volunteer lock keepers were extremely helpful. We got both boats up at the same time approx. 55 minutes start to finish!
Thanks again
Small butty can and some times is a pain to moor up.ours is only 30 odd feet.the big boat "motor" is 61" so breasting up is a pain.over 50" butty and you get a discount on your licence.finding a 100" gap is sometime hard. to the point that we are now looking at having our butty streched Crt say small workshop needs a trading Licence but not sure in your case if your not selling from it..Sorry can't be any more help. Paddy.
We came up a small flight of wide locks with the butty 3 days ago,the boats behind had a large crew.one of them came and "helped" us up,(thay did not catch us up) when i said thankyou he said "we had no choice you were holding us up!". If thay was in that much of a rush thay only had to ask and we would have let tham past.We do on narrow locks as we have to do each one twice!
