  1. Another great mooring spot is the meadow below papercourt lock. Always plenty of space there and it seemed pretty deep, and you can walk down to the ruined priory!
  2. That's right, there is a small charge (or maybe its a donation, not sure) during hours unless you buy something from them. But once they close it can be accessed with the bw key
  3. Sorry! Still getting the hang of posting by phone!
  4. This is very good to know about! And very odd crt haven't signposted it. On a related note, we only recently found out that the elsan disposal at anglo-welsh/great haywood junction can be opened with a bw/crt key out of hours. This is very good to know about! 6. Thanks again everyone! I think I'm going to enjoy this forum! And looks like I will try Goring
  7. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Hadn't thought of Cookham!
  8. I didn't know you could book at any of the lock moorings? Is this something other locks do?
  9. Hi forum readers! My first post on here! Does anyone know if it is possible (dont mind with a fee) to stay up to 5 days on the field moorings at Goring, Pangbourne or Henley? It looks like I will need to commute to London and back for a few days whilst in this area later this year and I know these are nice spots with good train access but it seems so many places on the river are 48hrs only. Thanks!
  10. Hi, just want to add in my opinion the Holly Bush Inn in Salt (on the T&M near Stone) is one of the best on the canals anywhere! Although the mooring is close to the railway. Enjoy your trip
