  1. We're 2' 10" and have been to the end twice. We do scrape a bit on the approach to Trevor where the concrete shelf extends out but thats usually if we meet another boat coming the other way. Last time we got behind a queue of three hire boats and two coming the other way......that was interesting
  2. A guy at Middlewich Boats told us this morning ghat it wont affect them......he couldn't explain why
  3. It means you need to ring CRT and tell them you already had made transit before this latest development had been published and give them your details as requested. Cant see it would make much difference whether you are going north or south same rules apply.
  4. I guess this fellow is going to be in for a few more wettings then.................had quite a few I'm given to understand.
  5. Is that the inner bilge? If so leaky windows?
  6. If you are going anytime around FAB 17-19 June you may find Middlewich a tad busy
  7. The onus is on those who chair the meeting to produce the minutes. Having said that our rep did inform us in writing what had transpired during the meeting

  10. Did you not spot the Fisher Price Toys, pc monitors and fluorescent tubes?
  11. And if you have good locking crew who ready the next lock for the two boats you can akways do a bit of synchronised locking

  16. There are several boats listed in the boat index with the name Trinity and none with the name Pomfret. I like that its very original and it means something to you too. Or you could subsitute Trinity for Three, none listed for that either. None listed for Tertiary either.

  18. If it was 2 days ago it was indeed Algate. She is now sitting tucked up in Bugsworth Basin with us waiting for the wind to ease off a little. Had an enjoyable evening in the Nav last night with owner Nick Wolfe. Alton passed tnrough the same day but in the morning going the other way. And agree spuds done in the boat stove taste so much better
  19. Ring Sterling. If its repairable they will do so for you.
  20. We were told by a few hire crews last year that they had been instructed not to assist other boats. When i asked how they felt about that they said they would love to help. I said most people would be ok with that as long as they ask first if help is required and what form that help should be in. One hire crew even came up to a lock and asked if they watch because they didn't know what to do! Bizarre.....
  21. And look out for Peter, the volunteer CRT lockie too.
  22. We like Nantwich too. Just recently left as it happens.
