That was my line of thinking too. But, when you say a proper mooring.. It’s really a temporary mooring and not a permanent mooring. Certainly not permanent for a single boat.

It was a about mooring restrictions down in London. If I have it right, there’ll be a protest again tomorrow. In Hackney if anyone would like to attend.

Not sure about that. You’ll have to explain that one to me. I think for instance CRT’s ever growing use of 48hr mooring signs is deceptive because we are by right able to moor for 14 days.

I don’t know how anyone can fix up a boat on UC. I was close to going down that route awhile back but thankfully I was able to find work. And don’t forget Micawber couldn’t live within his means and went in and out of debtors prison. Didn’t he also believe in Providence? Something would turn up. I think something did turn up for him, an inheritance or whatever ? It definitely weren’t in the form of a lottery win which millions of people are now holding out for as an escape from poverty.

One could of course save money by buying a stock rudder ? And foregoing a bow thruster. But methinks the programme is more about how to save on a tin of beans while being paid peanuts for an hourly rate.
