  14. ydw, lol My best tactic for silly cold callers is ' you have just got through to your local police station, CAN I TAKE DOWN YOUR DETAILS ?? lol this always always ends in SILENCE, hehehe a bit extreme some may say, but hey!! it works ( its not my fault really its my yorkshire sense of humour
  15. I have both a pump-out toilet and a porta-potti on my boat, and I have used both of them ( they are both stinky ) but the porta-potti is emptied in a flash and the pump-out seemed to take a while. After using both I prefer the porta-potti and as a future 'liveaboard' the cost of the pump-outs is a deciding factor for me.
  16. Crikey!! hmmm.... Hippy tick , Teetotal tick and No Beard tick and still happy

  19. Thanks for the information Kit as its hard enough getting new work in todays economic climate and sadly some of these con artists play on that fact. I am self-employed and intend to re-locate to the Midlands area next summer and will now be very wary of who I advertise with, as I tend to always advertise in the Local papers in my area. Never mind as they say and I do believe that what goes round comes round and we indeed reap what we sew. ( May the fleas of a thousand camels invade their neither regions
  20. Hmm... well I do not drink ( one sniff of a winegum and I would probably be paraletic) runs to mirror to check ( damm... you glasses) NOPE !! all is well I do not have a beard and I bought my boat
  21. Thanks for showing that as it was really delightful to see My oh my folks sure had to graft hard back then and I wonder what they would think now about the way of life on the 'cut'

Well if people suddenly find, that they are unable to afford to properly care, for a dog then they could contact an animal rescue centre, ( But if only people found out beforehand everything that they needed to know about owning a pet, problems could be avoided) If they find that they are unable to control the dog due to behavioural or other problems, then they could always contact a dog behavioural expert. All this information can be found in a local vets office. The problems that can arise is when people like the look of a dog but do not find out about the breed. For example a working dog like a border collie needs lots and lots of exercise and could exhibit bad behaviour if it is not being exercised enough or able to work off any excess energy. A lot of people do not realise the life-span of a dog plus all the expense necessary to ensure that the animal stays healthy i.e food, vaccinations, equipment, training and if you go on holiday kennel/dog homers. But saying that I would not be without our Fred as he is so much fun and makes us all smile everyday with his funny antics
