rusty69
My trusty netbook is showing its age. I like its SSD, small screen size (9"), the fact it has a proper keyboard. It runs linux,it runs from a 12v supply. What are todays similar offerings? The macbook air 11 seems good, but also ageing. I have a MacBook 12”, and it’s a beautiful piece of engineering. Barely thicker than a fag paper and a total delight to use.

rusty69
I definitely like the MacBook air, and if they bring a new version out this year, I may be able to afford an older one. The chrome book seems like the only other viable alternative to but still bigger than my netbook.

Best laptop I've owned. Ruggedly built, so the screen doesnt get blown closed if you sit too near the ecofan (other fans are available).

bizzard
That flue pipe looks very close to the woodwork too. I've got a Lenovo Flex 10 Note book. Keyboard and touch screen control. You sort of turn it inside out and stand it on its keypad to do the touch screen. Its W10 and works well.

I bought a W10 lappy a few months ago and abandoned it in disgust, it worked so badly.
