magpie patrick
The Lutine saga has taken a turn for the better. Moored in Reading and will join the Kennet tomorrow (car shuffle for me today whilst Sara visits family). We need to go home Saturday, I have in mind reaching Aldermaston, where I will have to leave the boat for a week or so: is this practical? Any suggestions? Thanks all
MtB
Yes plenty of space usually at Aldermaston, more above the lock than below. Railway station there too...
Nightwatch
Seems there's loads of people going on the K&A. Or is it just me!!!?
Dharl
as coming from Reading there is also usually space between the swingbridge and the lock BEFORE the wharf, just before you get to the corner. I think the bank side might be easier to moor toas well, however been 12months since been that way on a boat! Currently moored down the other end of the K&A at 'Troutbridge' will be heading that way in a couple of weeks when off on our summer cruise, not sure how far we will get. Tony Brooks
Sorry to go off topic but that made me laugh - for a while I thought Dharl's boat was called Troutbridge as in the Navy Lark.

Steilsteven
Above Aldermaston lock is best imho but make sure that your pins are secure. Stayed there a few days last week and my mooring pins were starting to pull out even though there were four of them. Keith
