Notice sent out to Marinas on the Trent.

From about mid October the Trent will be 'closed' for 6 weeks+ at Newark Town Lock.

Make sure you don't get stuck on the 'wrong side' for Winter.

Edit - nothing (yet) about it on the C&RT stoppages website.

Thanks for that - always have had problems with their website, if you search for past & future stoppages by waterway (ie the Trent) it only gives work being done at the C&RT office pontoon handrail.

Guess I'll just have to search in loads of places to find the information instead of just one (obvious) one.

Am I wrong in thinking that there's normally a map with 'Colours' indicating stoppages with dates. I find it tedious looking through a list of stoppages especially when I don't even know where I'm going to be. A map would help me plan where not to be.

So do men at work or similar signs - I can see in two in one of the photos!!

How about fishing the trolleys out and returning them to their owners regardless of condition - Best left in the middle of a really busy aisle or use a mucky one to do your shopping in. The muck wont harm the beer and wine bottles.
