Wide locks to be restricted

After a survey it was seen that not many wide beams are using wide locks so as a cost cutting exercise the offside gates at each end will be permanently closed this will see a big saving in maintenance and water losses. The first trial area is yet to be decided.

Maybe they should fix a coin-operated turnstile to the offside gates so that widebeams have to pay to go through while narrowboats can travel free.
