Athy
Yes. A Gardner 4LW (and, judging by the photo, that's what it is), would be a 5.6 litre unit. A handsome boat, even if its internal décor lacks flair. Edited March 31, 2014 by Athy
GUMPY
Transporter used to have a semi diesel possibly a Kromhout in it, when it fired up you could hear it half a mile away, wonderful sounding engine.
J R ALSOP
The Kromhault in Transporteur ran away on a very large start, it snapped the block off the engine bed, you had to see the mess to believe it.
magnetman
I always liked transporteur but £100k is way too much money for it IMO. even if it has got a trouser press on board.

Strikes me as a very reasonable price for a Dutchman... Terribly tempted too! MtB

MtB
Strikes me that you should look in the Netherlands first then decide. I looked briefly at the costs involved in bring one over from the Netherlands but found, IIRC, they accounted roughly for the difference in price. Especially once one takes into account several trips over there viewing, travel and accommodation costs, lost earning time etc as well as employing someone professional to actually bring the boat across the channel. At least Transporteur is actually here, although I must say the interior looks pretty soulless having had a better look at the advert now.
