Hi

Is there any update on the Sawley levels?

Hi Steelaway,

You're currently moored on the outside of us and we're going to spend Christmas on the boat so we'll keep an eye on things for you.

I believe that the punters are given their meal, and an accompanying talk by the Captain on the merits/de-merits of the various toilet systems available on boats[/Quote]

Accompanied by Abba's Greatest Hits

"Portaloo - I was defeated, you won the war

Portaloo - Promise to love you for ever more

Portaloo - Couldn't escape if I wanted to

Portaloo - Knowing my fate is to be with you

Portaloo - Finally facing my Portaloo"

Hi

Thanks for that - perfect.

We are trying to get down there in the next couple of days, we were wondering if we could get down the towpath

Thanks again

Been down to my boat today and all's well.

Some one has even fitted some scaffold poles down the side for safety - top man

The Sawley cut is all OK but the river is high on the flood lock gate and the Trent is FULL!

Yes, Dave the lock keeper has worked extremely hard to keep boats safe during the floods.

We arrived on Christmas day and were rather pleased at how much the level had dropped, we may not have managed a christmas cruise but at least we could get to the boat without wading.
